Our Doggies
Updated: May 14th, 2011

When Diana got married in August, 2008, Diana had two doggies; Panzy, a female Pekinese/Shih Tzu mix and Panda, a male black and white toy Shih Tzu.
I had a male black and white Springer Spaniel, Chipper, and a male Australian Shepherd, Nardo.  Chipper died of old age in July, 2008 and Naqrdo died of old age at the cabin in August, 2009.  Diana purchased a female Shih Tzu puppy, Bella, in March 2009.  Bella and Panda got together and had a litter of five puppies in March, 2010.  We sold two of the puppies in the summer and fall of 2010. My sister took the third puppy in in the fall of 2010 leaving us with two puppies, King Tut who I declared was my new puppy and Little Bear who we continued to have up for sale.  Little Bear is still with us waiting for just the right family to come along.

Panzy

The 'Grand Damme' of our Doggies

Bella and Panda (Mom and Dad)
Dad (left rear)- Panda Bear, "toy" Shih Tzu (9-10 lbs); Panda is AKC registered and has sired four liters totaling 20 healthy puppies

Mom- Bella, young healthy standard pure bred Shih Tzu (about 12 lbs), great mom!

Bo's Puppy, King Tut
King Tut- Tut was Bella's first born and was a "whopper".  I wanted to call him Bubba but Diana told me we couldn't have a Shih Tzu named Bubba. So, we named him King Tut. "Tut" is much larger than the other puppies in the litter and he currently weights about 17 lbs.
These pictures were taken on April 11th, 2011. We have settled on the shorter hair body with a little more on the legs and a face with a moustache and gotee. His body looks a lot like Bella. But, his brown ears and moustache are distinctive. On August 5th, 2010, Tut was neutered, had nasal surgery to help him breathe more easily, and had a microchip installed.

Little Bear

.
We do not really want to sell Little Bear as he has become a member of our family.  But, we do have 5 doggies and we would sell him if we found a the 'right' home for him.

Little Bear is a beautiful black and white Shih Tzu male with white blaze and a playful, spunky, great personality. He weighs about 12 lbs. These pictures of Little Bear were taken on April 11th, 2011. He was born on March 16th, 2010 so turned one year old on March 16th, 2011. We recently had him groomed with shorter body hair.  We think he is cuter and easier to take care of. We have not neutered him so a prospective buyer is interested in using him for "stud services" when he becomes a little older.
His Dad, Panda Bear is AKC registered and has had four litters (20 healthy puppies).

Little Bear is well adjusted but is quite independent and would be a great addition to a loving family. He has lived in our Florida home with a small fenced in backyard and at our cabin in the mountains of western North Carolina where he has had an opportunity to run free. He sleeps in a dog bed at night but is crate trained and will sleep or can be isolated in his crate without a problem. He travels well in his crate. He spends most of his day playing with his litter mate King Tut and his mom, Bella. He is accustomed to "doing his business" during walks on a lead. When he is outside playing (at the cabin), he has been trained to come in response to a "referee" type whistle (followed occasionally by a treat).  He was "wormed" and examined by a Shih Tzu specialist vet, Dr. Cary Hirsch, in Ponte Vedra, Florida and completed his bordetella, parvo booster and one year rabies shots on July 16th, 2010 from Jeanie Stewart at The Mountain View Animal Hospital in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.
