
This is my daughter Heather, her husband David, and their sons, Austin and Hadden (my grandsons). Heather graduated from The University of Florida with a degree in Math and got her Masters in Statistics from Florida State University. Heather is an Assistant Professor of Statistics at The California Polytechnic Institute (Cal Poly) in California. David received his PhD from Stanford in statistics. He works for WESTAT, a Wahington, D.C. statistics consulting firm and does his work via the internet, FedEx, and e-mail from their home in San Luis Obisbo, California.

Heather and David's first child (my first grand daughter), Logan Sumner Wright was born on September 2nd, 1994. She died of respiratory failure shortly after her birth. David, Heather, Austin, and Hadden visit her grave in Toronto, Canada as often as they can. |

Laura received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in broadcast journalism from The University of Florida. As a broadcast journalist, she worked first as a line producer at NBC CH 8 in Tampa, then as a field producer for the PBS program "Freedom Speaks' in Nashville, next as an Executive Producer for ABC News at CH 13 in Norfolk, Virginia, and finally as the special projects producer for NBC CH 12 here in Jacksonville. Laura completed her Ph.D. in Broadcast Journalism at The University of Texas in Austin in August 2004. She accepted a teaching and research position at the University of South Carolina for two years and now has returned to her favorite locale, Austin, to enjoy family life with Steve and Elisa. |

This is my daughter Laura and her husband Steve Voorhies. Steve and Laura met in Austin Texas when Laura was completing her Doctorate in Journalism at the University of Texas. After a couple of years in Columbia, South Carolina where Laura was teaching and conducting research at the University of South Carolina, they returned to Austin, Teaxas. The newest member of our family is in the stroller, Eliza Emerson Voorhies, born December 12th, 2006. Laura will be taking some time off this summer and fall enjoying raising Elisa. |
On December 12th,

Stacy and her faithful companion, Niko with Santa this past December.
Stacy received her BA in Sociology from Jacksonville University and her Masters in Educational Technology at The University of Florida. She manages a design team for online courses and faculty technology support at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. |

It's "official" ! This is Stacy with her fiancee, Jedidiah Gant. Jed "popped" the question in early June and Stacy quckly said "Yes" before he could change his mind. They are planning a May 17th, 2008 wedding. |

Jessica graduated from The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville in 2001. She has been involved in ballet for more years than I can count. In 2002, she was a trainee as a graduate student at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School . The next year, she returned to Jacksonville and resumed teaching and performing ballet as a member of the The Florida Ballet. Jessica graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in business management in December 2006. She is currently working for Mass Mutual selling insurance and investment products. |

This is Lindsay in her prom dress. Beautiful, isn't she! She graduated from Fletcher High School in May, 2003. Since then she has attended Florida Community College in Jacksonville (FCCJ) while working in various jobs. She is cueently living ith her mom and is working as a pre-school teacher (1-2 year olds) at a local church school.
